A huge part of the desire to move to London was to be part of the burgeoning beer scene and to immerse myself in far more events. So far life at The Bull has not dissapointed – I have been in the paper for our Swearing on the Horns event, we have hosted a Pop Up Opera (back again in the autumn due to popular demand). We have not one but TWO brand new IPA recipe’s brewed on site for #IPAday on August 7th and the ball is rolling for a host of events during London Beer City Week: 9th – 17th August (Beer & music matching with Pete Brown, our ‘Beyond the Pale’ beer festival, meet the brewer evening, brewery tours and more).
I am also extremely excited that coming up very soon on Thursday July 31st is the first beer and food matching event since I joined The Bull. Our head chef David Hook has teamed up with Okell’s Isle of Man brewery to produce a fantastic Manx inspired menu. There are a few real treats on here and I hope it sets the scene for many more food pairing dinners to come.
The team from Okell’s will be at The Bull on the night to introduce their beers (and hopefully their new brewer too!). These beers are a rarity down south and a bargain £25 gets you a ticket to this exclusive event including an Okell’s on arrival followed by five courses paired with five more Okell’s beers including a beer cocktail…
